    Comment:

Toronto indie darling Dan Bryk is not really someone you'd expect to see wanting to conquer the world — but the Americans already love the guy. The world is ready for Dan Bryk and he's ready to take it on, but he seems likely to keep things nice and intimate.

    Oral And Visual Communication

    Eye Contact: G Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step:
Pronounciation: G An intensely lyric-heavy set, which is the norm for Dan Bryk. Became almost uncomfortably heavy with a song called "Fingers" (Bryk introduced it as "highly autobiographical" only to reveal it was about being molested). He's a naturally shy performer, which suits him, but that can get cloying after a while.

    Musical Analysis

Cooperation With Others: E Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step:
Level Of Participation: E The small crowd assembled for his early showcase was very enthusiastic. No wussy singer-songwriter nonsense here — this was a solid rock showcase. The backing band was tight, especially considering a mention during the set that they hadn't played together in over two months. Bryk is an obviously gifted songwriter with a charm for performing his own work.

Other Skills And Areas Of Interest

    Charisma: G Strengths/Weaknesses/Next Step:
Sexiness: G Striped shirts are very in, especially dark ones. Drinking a large whateveritwas in a Starbucks cup did detract from the spirit of the indie ambiance. But Bryk looked very much at ease. And though he's not the stereotypical rock 'n' roll frontman, Dan Bryk not only seems to know what he's doing, but he pulls it off extraordinarily well.
